Why weight classes exist

Easy day in the weightroom--brutal day of BJJ.

Low Hang Clean

Fat bar pullup, no weight
15x2

1 hour of jiu jitsu-class
then 45 minutes of "sparring"

And of course, my partner happened to weigh about 315 pounds.
Wonderful.

I didn't exactly feel outmatched, but it was like trying to move a boulder. This was a good a good thing for me because I have a bad habit of using my strength rather than applying any skill. Not today. Good session: totally wiped.

I think you know what's wrong. You got a lazy ass and your pulling all with your back.

Solution = Squat more.
